Josh's problem
24 January 2022
Lucy Hutton (Lucy Hale) and Joshua Templeman (Austin Stowell) work in the same New York City office sitting facing each other everyday. They don't get along but that's before they start fighting for the same promotion. She dates nice guy Danny but feels drawn to Josh.

Josh is a semi-dud. Part of it is Austin Stowell but mostly it's how he's written. It takes too long to get to his father which explains his personality and also gives him color. Danny may not be a hunk but at least, he has some personality. Josh is so constrained that one must put Lucy's infatuation down to Austin's hunky looks. He's like a boring Chris Pratt. If they could introduce the father sooner, one can see Lucy getting involved to save Josh. It humanizes him which would be very helpful. That's the more compelling story path. As it stands, Lucy is the one doing pratfalls and Josh can lord it over her.
