You wouldn't expect that this is one of the most enjoyable well written laugh out loud funny rom com series of all time. The story covers all aspects of the pageant so well practical beauty matters to effects on participants and family. I enjoyed all parts of the show from the laugh out loud fights to the cosmetics business to the different rounds of competition. All this is set in the financial crisis of 97.
The cast is wonderful. Lee Yeon Hee a the lovely main character is beautiful charming and such a good actress. It's wonderful to see her glamorous for a change. For her roles in the Package and Reunited Worlds she was not dressed up or made up that much. Lee Sun Kyun of Parasite fame plays the scientist who loves her. Lee Mi Sook is great as ths salon owner President Ma. Look out for Oh Jung se in a supporting role.
The secondary couple romance between the thug and the scientist is quite unique.
