This series delivers what it promised: a classic melodrama set in old time Paris. While the tragic fire really happened, what follows is basically a story of love and rebellion with all the relative tropes. It's full of stereotypes but it's entertaining and it can offer a great experience if you just accept it for what it is and go with the flow.
