An explosion that killed a politician in a Washington restaurant but left no trace of the type of device that was used. As more fatal explosions occur, FBI bomb disposal expert Danny O'Neill believes . That his estranged wife, who is having an affair with a corrupt senator, may be in danger

Live Wire is one of those thrillers that was Pierce Brosnan's warm up for Bond, though the character he plays is far from Bond and has an estranged wife falling for a senator, but still Brosnan's charm and distinct style seeps through in a solid action thriller that has a fresh idea about a combustible bomb. It's exciting, wired taut with a good cast, but it's Brosnan that carries the plot with style.
