Alex (Winslow Fegley) runs out of his apartment to get away from his fighting parents. He gets on the elevator but it stops on an unfamiliar floor. He gets trapped by witch Natacha (Krysten Ritter). She threatens to kill him but he convinces her to let him live if he tells her a scary story everyday. Other children have been kidnapped before and Yasmin (Lidya Jewett) is a remaining survivor.
This is a kiddie horror like Goosebumps or others of that level. It isn't anything that scary. The atmosphere is too clear and bright for that. It's not hitting on anything real until Alex actually reveal something personal. The witch is right about that. Netflix seems to be collecting these movies where they are not good enough to go into the theaters.
