Better unsaid

Anwar Says: In one of my review, I had written last week that it seems you would hardly get something good to watch and write in September. Three known veteran film personalities trying an Anthology on Netflix , the expectation got high but they would have been better left UNSAID.

Abhishek Chaubey's creation , the middle one of three short stories, was the only one worth talking about. Producer chose not to name the stories. Set up in 1980's , two hopeless young people liberate each other from their dark destiny and superbly played by Rinku Rajguru and Dilzad Hiwale , one who played the younger Irfan in Hindi Medium. The excitement of watching movie in sweaty single theatre has been nicely conveyed.

Ashwini Iyer Tiwary's story tried to show the loneliness a single man in a big city faces , as if the viewers don't know. The lead Abhishek Banerjee tries to make you believe that you may find a companion in a mannequin. Not a bad story but very loosely said.

The third one of Saket Chaudhary is a real pretentious, asking more than enough on infidelity, in spite of having top cast Kuna Kapur and Zoya Hassan, Palomi Ghosh and Nikhil Dwivedi. The director who gave us two side effects'Shaadi' and 'Pyar' couldn't contribute any effect in this story.

Abhishek Chaubey, the genius should come out of this Anthology business, we are dying to watch more and more of his creations in continuation to Ishqia, Dedh Ishqia , Udta Punjab Sonchiriya ...... #Netflix #anwarsays #AbhishekChaubey #ashwiniiyertiwary #saketchaudhsry #AnthologySeries #movie2021 #review #moviereview.
