I saw this film in the theater when it was released. I was.expecting something epic, and got an "all right" movie. I mean, it's basically 28 Days Later with fangs. I revisited it tonight wondering if it could be more appreciated with time. Sadly, it just can't. The film is well shot, well acted, and a great concept. What ruins it for me is the vampires. From the silly look many of them have to the "language" they speak. It's just too much a product of its time. Had it been made twenty or thirty years earlier, it might have been something for the record books. Instead, it is an "okay" movie that is worth a watch.
