WHAT THE PEEPER SAW opens with the death of a woman in a bathtub. Next, we're introduced to Elise (Britt Ekland) and her stepson Marcus (Mark Lester), who is the son of the woman from the opening. When Markus' father re-enters the picture, Markus displays some strange behavior, and bizarre things start happening.
As time goes on, Elise begins to suspect that Marcus might not be as innocent as he seems.
PEEPER is a classic 1970's psychological thriller. Lester plays his disturbed / disturbing role perfectly. Some of the more suggestive scenes between he and Ms. Ekland are certainly outrageous by today's standards. You'll keep saying to yourself, "Nope, they'd never get away with that, now!".
