"This Is Forest Fire Season!"...
22 July 2021
NIGHT OF THE FLESH EATERS is a low-low-budget horror film. In spite of this, it still manages to be inventive, entertaining, and -sometimes- very funny.

A gangster and his henchman head out into the deep woods to participate in the death of the gangster's cheating wife and his ex-partner, at the hand of a mysterious hitman.

Unknown by anyone involved, the forest is alive with cannibalistic demons. Bloody deaths commence.

If you're looking for something a bit different, even novel in a horror movie, then this might do the trick. This movie introduces us to several interesting creatures like dwarf cannibals, fire dogs, a stone man, etc.

The dialogue, though somewhat wooden, is quite humorous overall, and the characters are likeable enough.

Is there cheeeze? Yes. Schlock? Indeed.

Still, this film makes 80 minutes sail by without putting us to sleep! It does it with some originality and heart...
