Ulysses, king of Ithaca is feeling the blind fury of Poseidon.
Xena is only happy and willing to help Ulysses regain his kingdom and upset Poseidon.
It is a rough sea voyage where Gabrielle suffers from extreme sea sickness.
However Ulysses who believes his wife has died, begins to fall for Xena's charms along the journey.
It turns out that Ulysses wife is alive but he is still wanting to leave her.
There is some enchanting dancing from both Gabrielle and Xena in this story. The Poseidon effects were rather good for a show where special effects never always looked too great.
Unfortunately John D'Aquino who plays Ulysses is a bit bland when he should be smouldering with Xena.
