I don't see any other mention of what I see as the glaring flaw in this plot - the sister did not ask Josie in advance to be guardian of her children. Really? Hard to believe any lawyer would not have insisted on that. Of course, the surprise is an essential element of the plot. I'm usually fine with suspension of disbelief, but this stretched me too far.
I liked the leads together, and I agree that Chabert was up to the acting challenges of displaying the emotions required. Good acting by rest of cast.
