David Versus Two Goliaths
26 May 2021
A touching sports story of a true underdog in a time lost on many. I enjoyed learning more of the history of golf including one of it's all time greats, Harry Vardon.

I thought the late Luke Askew made quite the impression in his final role as Ouimet's mentor. And I was surprised at how well the direction was. I would not have pictured the late Bill Paxton as a director, but he did a phenomenal job. The neat camera work with the golf scenes were anything but boring. After doing some research I saw the ending was made to be a little more dramatic than it actually was, but that's usually the case with these kinds of movies.

'Happy Gilmore' will forever be my favourite golf film, but this very well could be second on my list. 'Tin Cup' is good too, but this checks all the boxes for a perfect family film.
