Worth a Gander

New York has Hell's Kitchen and the Mojave Desert had Sin's Kitchen. You don't want to visit either, but at least in Hell's Kitchen you have a better chance at survival.

I watched this movie for one reason and one reason only: Jeffrey Wright. Ever since I saw him in "Shaft" and found out he wasn't Latino I've been a fan.

"Sin's Kitchen" is, as I read in the summary, a modern day triptych in which three stories connect in one place. One story involves a mobster, his apprentice, a snitch, and a husband and wife bounty hunting team. The second story involves six college students on a road trip. The third story involves a drifter and a lonely woman. All three stories occur simultaneously and they all had the benefit of the same narrator who only chimed in for commentary.

To be honest, none of the stories were that compelling although the first two did add a bit of action and intrigue. The third story was the biggest drag until the very end. It's an ending you will never forget. Is it worth watching this entire movie for? Not really, but if you've seen everything and you happen upon "Sin's Kitchen", then it is worth a gander.
