I was never interested in seeing RANGE 15. After all it has a score of 5,0 and lots of abysmal reviews. However I decided to watch it as a month ago I decided to watch various movies with Keith David as he is a good but underrated actor (and with probably the best voice ever heard on film) so I bit the bullet. And I deeply regret it even after a month.
In the beginning some very stupid and obnoxious guys have a great night and drink a lot and do lots of bravado, up until the next morning they see a zombie and discover that there is a zombie invasion all across the USA and they are forced to fight the zombies despite being very dumb and with only a few weapons. They arrive to Range 15 and follow Colonel Holloway (Keith David)'s advices but they have also to do a MME match against some zombies (including ones played by Randy Couture and Danny Trejo) and cause lots of explosions and destructions.
I tried to sum up the plot in the best way possible. If you ever the chance to watch this movie you'll see some magnificent (in ironic sense) things such as: Colonel Holloway's daughter without arms that tries for three minutes to getting the keys from the floor and always fails (and this scene made me feel sick as it was more gross than funny), a zombie child that rips off the private parts of one of those dumb guys and shakes them a lot, William Shatner exploding at the beginning with the brain splattered all across the interrogation room, zombies Couture and Trejo gradually falling to pieces and many, many more that I thankfully forgot.
Now understand, I can enjoy a parody on various movies (such as SUPERHERO or HOT SHOTS) but it has to be funny and clever. The problem here is that none of the jokes are funny and, since they mock some gross things, they come across as crude and offensive. And I also am worried about the people who actually enjoys stuff like this since it made me feel dumber after I saw it. Nasty, crude, disgusting, obnoxious and crass. An incredibly worthless movie in every possible way!
