Former student Alex, at the beginning of the episode, returns to Johnny a 1938 Indian head nickel that he had "borrowed" ten years earlier. Later, Johnny removes the nickel from his pocket, showing the date 1937. Just before the end, when he takes out the nickel again, it is a somewhat more worn 1938.
