As someone who's played the original game, Dragon's Dogma (2020) does a decent job as an adaptation. It takes some stuff from the game, and it adds some new things. When it comes to the screenplay, I couldn't find any glaring issues, but for some reason, the screenplay felt underwhelming.
Another issue with Dragon's Dogma (2020) was the CGI. Some anime TV shows work well with the CGI, but Dragon's Dogma's CGI was off-putting. A show like Dragon's Dogma would've looked amazing with hand drawn art, but in order to save time, they went with the CGI. And even though the CGI was unnecessary, the fight scenes were well done, and it was pretty entertaining.
Dragon's Dogma (2020) could've been a 9/10, with the proper execution, but with its disappointing screenplay and CGI art, Dragon's Dogma is 6/10. With its negatives, I would still recommend this show, because it's only 7 episodes long.
