Review of Okay Madam

Okay Madam (2020)
8/10
korean comedy aint easy to read...
19 September 2020
For us westeners with our ways of life and dicipline, and aversion against hirarkistic culture and lack of respect to the parents and elders. its also hard to differ rage from love with all that husband and children spanked and beated at a daily basis, to us thats slapstick, for koreans its daily discipline...

this film though is a straight hi flying aces of comedy, with a little spy action, and airplane hijack situation, in the name of ROK. the madam in the title are actually a NOK defector, starting a disguised living , starting a family life and a child, sell pastries at the local market for a living. one day this family wins a trip to hawaii, but to get there they will need passports, and then its game on...

its trully a film with inconsistencies and some strange editing, but its full of marvelous fist fight, knife slithering and combatfighting that will impress even the squemiest among viewers. the shock and awe factor gives you room for some good laughs, fascial expressions and the bow and bend humbleness are relly entertaining and the story that aint original at all feels original because its korean made.

production is a usual very smooth and gross, the design of locations make you feel you are in a big building, with compartments that i never knew excisted on a 757 or 767 boeing aircraft. the filmo and soundwork makes belief being on the flight as a fly on the wall, and the score are just eminent and sound beautiful, and engages you from the start.

its a film about a plane that would have crashed in real life, due to pressure loss due to lack of a door in the fuselage frame, but everything works in the movies, and i think this is a great movie to watch on a saturday family get together by the screen. higly recommended by the grumpy old man.
