This is one terrible "film"! Dempsey really solidified his status as a prime time soap opera actor with this role. What a hack. In fact, the only possible explanation for the high rating of this film must come from lusty reviewers.
There is nary a redeeming quality to be found here. You may think bad acting is easy enough to overlook; lots of films survive that curse, but the script, editing, stunts actually make the acting seem almost passable. Seriously, pay attention any time a punch gets thrown. There is a slight pause as everyone tries to remember how the action is supposed to play out. Punch in the gut-pause-throw yourself back against the wall. This is every fight scene!
