This episode is about a singer whom obtained a MacGuffin with a Wishmaster-ish twist, that makes everyone applauds her. In this sort of situation, there should be a genuine talent that has been robbed of the opportunity because of this relic, and a comeuppance at the end.
But there is none in this episode. Even the rules of the blessing/curse is inconsistent in this short episode. Couldn't even squeeze in a rumination on the manufactured success of the music industry in the real world. (the Black Mirror humorous teen-romp episode with Miley Cyrus did it much better on that regard)
