The Last Time I Committed Suicide review
9 May 2020
Stylish adaptation of the famous 16,000 word letter by Neal Cassady, which beat icon Jack Kerouac credited as providing him with the inspiration to write his underground classics. Jane is charismatic as Cassady, and Reeves is surprisingly good as his low-life pool hall buddy. An evocative ode to the Beat Generation that initially seems formless but which coalesces into a satisfying whole.
