There are more good things happening in Psych:9 than bad. I found the lead actress captivating and beautiful. She was a good actress in a very difficult role that required an extremely attractive and self-confident woman to eventually show vulnerability. I thought the writers and Director needed more time to make this aspect appear more natural, but, in fairness, what's presented comes across as reasonably authentic. They used cameras that seemed to drop blue out of the equation a lot of the time, which worked a treat for some contrast shots, but lost something outdoors or in some of the tenser moments. I thought this movie came across as an indie Director making his first big feature, and I thought it was a grand effort, but not yet perfect. I like the honesty of calling this movie Psych:9. A psych out is what you get, and it's a pretty hair raising ride.
