Not a huge fan of Sandler on the whole, the last few films he's made has certainly not helped him either. But this is a whole other level of filmmaking, completely alien to his usual schtick. Howard is a real person, the character lives and breaths, every character does in fact. Have not been this heavily invested in what is happening in a film in a long time. Highly recommend going in completely blind with no plot details spoiled, so I'm not going to say a thing. What an actual transformation for a role.
