Great Premise Poor Execution

Warning: Spoilers
This show had a great idea, a world where vampires exist and are public knowledge and are shunned by society combined with a Romeo and Juliet type love story between and vampire and human.

However what we get is duplication. The story starts in modern time with some character development. Then after 4 episode's moves intro a historical setting with the same characters that essentially repeat the same story over 5 with swords and arrows rather than music and a small amount of extra progression of characters. Then we get three episodes back in modern time but with the male lead losing his memory and we end up repeating the character development. This could have been an excellent series if they actually used the episode count to progress the story. By the end of ep 12 we are basically at the same point we were at the end of ep 4 and then again at ep 9.

It's a real shame because the world presented in this deserves to be fleshed out more.
