Yes, this episode had some fairly graphic violence. War is violent and the Revolution and its beginnings were as well. There were no weapons of mass destruction, which can kill and maim from afar; the fight was up close and personal. I did not find this offensive, but rather a depiction of the times. Once again, the acting was stellar. Sam's ability to speak volumes without saying a word shows a masterful grasp of his craft. Catrioina has this ability as well, as evidenced by the scene with Marsali butchering the deer carcass. Well done by all. Outlander is the best show on TV.
