The Final Table Fell Flat at the End
3 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show was intense and entertaining. Quite beautiful to watch with all of the creative presentations showcased by the chefs. I wished I could taste their works of art. However, the chefs chose the wrong person to sit at the final table. The result felt very American-centric. And a cop out. Nothing against Timothy, but Mark or Darren should have won. I was quite let down by the result. The fact that only western chefs remained in the final round with no women was bad enough. Then the two chefs who took the most risk didn't win. What were the criteria? Someone with a restaurant? Risk? Taste? Presentation? Seems like the judging criteria should be clearer.
