Of course this little French feature was in production in the same time of Korean's PARASITES, so I don't even think it was inspired from the Asian film. But the two movies have something in common, concerning some kind of home invading, though not in the usual straight way. It seems inspired from actual events,for the first part. And I think this kind of unbelievable scheme may happen from time to time. Incredible is the word. The movies changes of pace after the second third, to become an action horror thriller, but unfortunately with a totally f...up ending. In the pure Hollywood tradition, which is not a compliment.
