You may think, I'm comin' down quite hard on this film, but I expected a much more entertaining vehicle. I expected it to be a much more playful romp, but it turned out to be more serious. The winning standout, of course was Schroder, a naturally gifted actor. If it wasn't for him in this, I wouldn't of given the film, a second glance. The other great actors do us solid, the film for me, just didn't grab me, just dulled me. The film which I don't hate, has good morals in it too, and yes, I will watch again, if only for Shroder's fantastic performance. As loving Silver Spoons, why he's not still acting, is just a waste of a super talented, now, guy. The music score (I know I go on about scores) I really liked. The story kind of feels cliche'd with some other films, this one had me thinking about King Ralph, yet that came out, over a decade from this one. The film just didn't seem alive, but be your own critic, on a film, I must say, short sheeted my expectations.
