"Sammy's avonturen: De geheime doorgang" tells the story of the turtle Sammy, who has a hard time adopting to the life in the ocean but is carried by the love for a very special turtle. When he finally meets her, everything seems perfect until unforeseen events separate them again and start a chase that seems hopeless at times.
I like this film because it combines good characters and entertainment with a positive message and some love for mother nature. You can see that it is not a major production and it is lacking the underlying humor of films like "Finding Nemo", but I'm sure kids will have their fun with this film anyway and you can clearly see that the producers put quite a lot of heart in this. As most kid's movies, it's not entirely plausible, but that shouldn't be what it's judged for.
All in all I think this is a nice addition in the kids movie sector, not a game changer but a nice little film that will raise awareness under children and empower them through a beautiful message.
