More gangland fights, murders and robberies were the name of the game in this mediocre sequel to a not very good first game. 'Grand Theft Auto 2' was much the same as its predecessor it seemed hardly worth making it. Playing it fairly recently, I struggled to concentrate very well on it, despite the fact that the graphics aren't quite as much of a strain on the retinas. The only real positive thing that can be said about the game is that if it had not been for this, we may never have seen the release of 'Grand Theft Auto III', which would lead onto a succession of other superior releases, most especially 'Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas'.
