My wife and daughter were NOT impressed...but I enjoyed it.

"A Fig Leaf for Eve" is an enjoyable little B-movie, though in my family I seemed much easier to please than the rest. They thought it was tiresome. Considering I watch tons of Bs, it's not surprising I enjoyed the flick more.

Eve (Jan Wiley) is doing a dull interpretive dance when suddenly the cops raid the night club and carry her off on morals charges. Now she WAS almost completely dressed and her dance was about as stimulating as watching butter melt, it's obvious something is amiss. What is it? Her agent called the cops and staged the whole thing as a publicity stunt!

During her brief incarceration, Eve meets a bail bondsman who seems like a swell fellow. He informs her that she might be a missing heiress and soon she's being reluctantly welcomed to this rich family. Some, such as Aunt Sarah, are sweet and welcoming but others, especially the nasty Aunt Livinia, are god-awful and plan on making Eve feel extremely unwelcome. What's next? See the film.

The worst thing about the film are the times Eve dances. It's supposed to be kind of sexy...it ain't. In fact, my daughter was right that she really couldn't dance at all. But the plot and how well executed it is...that impressed me. For a B, it's pretty entertaining and clever. A nice time-passer.
