A Mediocre Predictable Christmas Movie
20 November 2018
It was an okay Christmas movie that was saved by the great acting of the cast like Kat Graham and Quincy Brown. It had elements of Holiday in Handcuffs starring Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez, but I will not fault it for that since most Christmas romance movies are predictable and copy off one another. One of the most annoying elements in this movie and the other one that came out too, The Princess Switch starring Vanessa Hudgens, was the Netflix plug to promote The Christmas Prince which was another mediocre, predictable movie. Yet, on the plus side in a movie about a down on her luck photographer with dreams of owning her own photo studio one day is the amazing acting talent of the cast, great chemistry and the cute relationship and friendship between leads Quincy Brown and Kat Graham. I also like how they didn't demonized the other love interest into a one dimensional jerk and the nice way they resolved Kat's character's relationship with him. It also does a great job of showing the passage of time for an hour and half movie about a holiday calendar predicting an event over the course of the twenty-five days of Christmas. It's a cute Christmas romance movie to waste a lazy Christmas holiday watching. Like Gramps said, whether you believe it's magic or fate, it still leads you to the same destination.
