Warning: Spoilers
I actually thought this was a pretty good episode with the exception of a few things. I really liked how Cisco was played in this episode. It was spot on with the Cisco of old and was like a revival of Cisco from the early seasons. It was very good to see.

I dug the Rag Doll villain; we just didn't see enough of him.

It was the same with the namesake of the show, the Flash. The show is called The Flash. Can we not see more of the Flash saving people and kicking asses? That is what the Flash does in the comics; it's what he did in the first few seasons of this show. It would be nice to have that back. It's why most of us watch the show. We want to see our favorite super hero--or one of our favorites--do his thing.

Also, it's about time Elongated Man was portrayed correctly. In this episode, as with Cisco, Elongated Man was spot on.

One last thing: The scene with Iris jumping off the building was way over the top. The scene could have been tightened up quite a bit just through better writing. I understand there is a time-limit to the episode and there is only so much time to get everything in. That said, the scene could have been even more suspenseful, more powerful, and more grounded like this: At the same time Ralph and Iris rush toward Rag Doll and Barry. Ralph tackles Rag Doll while Iris rushes to Barry and inserts the key in the dampener cuffs (while Ralph and Rag Doll are intensely fighting). Rag Doll kicks Iris from behind, knocking her and Barry off the ledge. She holds onto Barry and turns the key on the dampener cuffs, releasing them. Barry is freed. He grabs her and takes her down to the ground, to be followed by Ralph, who has subdued Rag Doll by engulfing him. Much more grounded and much more suspenseful.

8.5 out of 10.
