Some of the scenes of this movie made me feel a high sensation of anxiety and fear, and I love when a movie makes me feel this sensation either it's happiness, anguish or sadness. and the idea of this movie being a true story made the feelings 10x stronger. it's Grey, chaotic and doleful as we go through the struggle of this wretched guy struggling with his addiction and prison to finding a way out through boxing. the movie is very well done the camera is so close to our character's face, making us react deeply on their emotions and feelings and feel a sincere sympathy for them. I loved the human connections billy had in the film as they've put warmth on a cold blue film, for example how Billy found support from the trans boy fame and how the little guy next to whom he slept defended him against the other criminals and saved him when he tried to suicide, or when that kid came to visit him, I loved this sense of danger I felt each time he crossed path with his previous cell mates and how he connected with the other boxers in prison. One other thing I liked about this film is the silence and the lake of dialogue, since our character doesn't speak much and if he did it was only to ask for drugs or cigarettes and the rest of little talking is untranslated Thai discussions however it's a good point considering that the movie relays on body language and character's faces and reactions to transmit deep emotional feelings. I really enjoyed it as movie lover and a boxer
