Campy and embarrassing

Warning: Spoilers
TOMB OF THE WEREWOLF is a campy and embarrassing werewolf flick made by Fred Olen Ray and one of his cheaper works. It's one of the many films that Paul Naschy made in the last decade of his life that tended to be done by his fans wanting to get more life out of the old horror star. Sadly this material is far beneath him and feels like a home movie more than anything. Naschy shows up in some brief flashbacks and gets to play Waldemar Daninsky once more, aided by a nifty CGI transformation scene here. His screen time extends to about 15 minutes in total. The rest of this is mere padding with annoying characters and the like. Ray is obsessed with showing as much female skin as possible and shoehorns plenty of gratuitous nude and sex scenes into the lame and loose story. Only bad movie lovers will enjoy it.
