The neverending showcase of Robert Downey Jr's talent
19 August 2018
As it pertains to comedic partnerships, this film works pretty good with the pairing of Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis. It is the smarky and witty Tony Stark Meets the Hangover. Both performances were very well done and the physical comedy these characters went through was truly funny.

The film has a good ensemble but in my opinion poorly used in Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx and Juliet Lewis. The plot was creative as a man (Downey) is trying to make it home for the birth of his child. He is in Atlanta and unexpectedly meets Ethan (Galifianakis) who is on his way to LA to become an actor. They manage to both get thrown of the plane, put on the no fly list and end up stuck together trying to make it to California by car. There is a lot of collective thought from Planes Trains and Automobiles.

It is worth the watch for a laugh, it's a funny buddy comedy with heart. There will really be no disappointment in viewing this. I rate it a solid 6 out of 10.
