Tense, exciting and highly unusual "dog" picture!
3 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Although this movie takes a miniature second place on the cover of Alpha's very good DVD, it is by far more exciting than the actual lavishly featured movie attraction, "The Silent Code".

In the first place, all the dogs, led by "Lightning, the Wonder Dog" are quite remarkable. The bear is an excellent "actor" too.

In the second place, the human actors are almost equally charismatic and are only outshone by a small margin. In fact, it's difficult to decide who gives the very best performance. It's hard to go past Jed Strong who plays the boy to perfection, but I would pick Frank Brownlee who makes such a remarkable job of the boy's repulsive dad.

The movie is also unusual in that it has three credited photographers, and indeed there are four if you also count director Edward A. Kull. Admittedly he is not credited for photography here but a man with 104 such credits would not be human if he didn't make a few photographic suggestions from time to time.

All in all, an absolutely must-see movie!
