WWE Survivor Series (2017 TV Special)
6/10
The Inferior PPV of the Weekend.
20 November 2017
Survivor Series is actually my favourite of WWE's Big 4 ppvs (obviously behind WrestleMania). But this was very rocky, and totally uneven and random. This was the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I didn't give a crap about the three pre-show matches.

The first match was The Shield against The New Day. On a side note, it is beyond hypocritical for people to praise The New Day and bash John Cena. The New Day is so juvenile they make John Cena look like Scarface. Say Cena is stale; so it TND!! And it baffles me how people love them. THEY'RE BRONIES TARGETED TOWARDS PRE-SCHOOLERS!! People always say "bring back TV- 14" and "bring back the Attitude Era." The Shield is the closest thing to the edginess and what made those eras awesome. Praising the New Day is like saying you'll lose weight while pigging out on donuts. It sickens me that these clowns are the longest reigning tag champs in WWE history. They have absolutely nothing on Demolition or Fabulous Freebirds. And the WWE Universe is so stupidly immature for booing Roman overtime he came out. Never liked The Shield? That's a croc!! As if you weren't drawn into them in 2012 and 2013. Smarks are the most immature, hypocritical attention-seekers who want to sound all smart but wind up sanctimonious. Now onto the match itself, it delivered. I would like to see them go at it again in more extreme circumstances. 9/10

The first traditional survivor series match was the women. Raw's Alice Fox, Asuka, Bayley, Nia Jax, and Sasha Banks went against Smackdown Live's Becky Lynch, Naomi, Natalya, Carmella and Tamina. Asuka was the sole survivor. I'm glad she still has yet to be pinned or submitted. 8/10

US Champ Baron Corbin takes on IC Champ Miz. The video battles he and Mia had were cool. Baron Corbin is my least favourite dude in WWE. He sucks. He can't do a good match to save his life. The videos he made against Mia were just okay. The Lonewolf won. The match was dull. 5.5/10

Tag Champs on either show face each other. Usos take on The Bar/Sheamus & Cesaro. I don't like Sheamus' mohawk, but it looked extra dumb tonight. But the match was impressive. The twins won. 7.5/10

The Women's Champs up next! Alexa Bliss is WWE's best actress, but a bad wrestler. Charlotte is one of WWE's worst actresses (heel or face), but one of the best wrestlers. Charlotte won in a good match. 7/10

Both World Champs on deck. AJ Styles went the distance against Brock. I wanted AJ to win, but Brock was going to win regardless. I haven't liked Brock since ending Undertaker's WM streak. That was when he became a one-sided, one-trick-pony, most predictable wrestler ever. And I hate his work ethic. He shows up once every few months and get paid millions of dollars. Vince is scared if Brock loses the title, he'll leave. Let him! Luckily, Brock did more than one move, the match was back-and-forth, and disbelief was suspended! Even if Brock wasn't so one-dimensional, it still made sense for him to emerge the victor. Sweet bout! 8.5/10

The main event was the most hyped. Team Raw (Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, and Triple H) vs Team Smackdown Live (Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, and John Cena). This match was way out in left field! Many random moments that seemed to be there just because. Aside from the bizarre element, the match lacked focus and spark it promised. It wasn't bad, just one of those you're bound to forget in a year. 6.5/10

7.4/10
