There was a lot of ground to cover here - the Riggs/Palmer romance, changes in the Murtaugh household, Mexican gun thugs - and 'A Problem Like Maria' does it very well. The character interactions were back to normal, the dialogue's peppered with great lines and the action had terrific buildup. Makes it easy to forget about last week's snoozer. And all of this is done while setting up something big for next week's finale.
