When I first heard of Arc-V I skipped it to wait for the dub but I regret watching the subs to the final episode. People told me it was way better than Zexal and was gonna be as good as 5d's. Its honestly bad and is probably the worst Yu-Gi-Oh anime to date. Here's why:
Season 1: Its the only good part of Arc-V and the plot is interesting and the characters are mostly bearable except for one.(Looking at you Futoshi) And Yuzu is a strong female lead as well as the deadly antagonists. But the good ends here.
Season 2: Arc-V takes a massive fall in quality as characters are underused and there are bad pacing issues and filler. Also not helped is the antagonists were really bad this season. Not to mention Action Cards become more annoying as they mess up turbo duels and incorporate the Action Cards and replace Speed spells and counters.This season also basically copied and pasted the Fortune Cup arc. Also this season marks the annoying trend of Eago(Smile) philosophy that gets worse as the show goes on. The plot holes are also becoming more present.
Season 3:The absolute worse. This is the season that was the final nail in Arc-V's coffin. All the arcs are rushed and poorly executed, and by now anyone would be annoyed how much Yuya's actions card usage and Eago philosophy would make them hate the character. The Xyz arc is rushed, the Zarc arc was badly dragged out with no real stakes, and the epilogue was just cringe worthy filler. The characters are underused and underdeveloped and treated like trash and the ending was simply the worst. The plot holes are especially present here and Yuzu does not duel at all this season. All the other counterparts of Yuya and Yuzu become plot fodder and the potential is wasted in the end.
