+ Rip's broadcast: where Aragon's big screen speech felt jarring/out of place, Rip's felt right....yes, I teared up.
+ I like they parked Sara while Rip is on the field, the same when it was the other way around. Didn't take long for him to find his new place on the team. Sweet!
+ They really are pulling out all the stops now that the finale is 2 eps away, because we got FIRESTORM!!! Making jelly beans!!!
MVP: The way the ep played out Amaya/Mick's conflicts was brutal and completely organic (take notes, Flash) which made it all the more gut-wrenching to watch. This ep showcased Mick's own brand of stoicism in the face of heart-breaking loss and what Snart means to him: family/friendship. Watching Amaya carry the burden of her future knowledge really hit home the price she will pay to save reality. So I'm really hoping the writers write an out for Amaya because she doesn't deserve this.
* Brain fart: when Sara handed the spear to Mick, I thought she's affirming that she doesn't think of him as "lesser"! But nope that was just a "here, hold this". Show knows how to twist the knife.
Mick and Amaya were the highlight of the ep, with the lighter Tolkien homages a perfect touch of sweetness to the bitterness, all ramping up the charge towards the finale. Score: 9.3
