In an Amish-like community six girls are born on the sixth day of the sixth month and the local leader, Elder Beacon (Colm Meaney), reminds the townsfolk of the prophecy that before the girls turn 18; they will all disappear except the one remaining will be a strong soldier for the devil. Beacon makes no attempt to hide the fact that he wants the girls gone. When the girls near 18...they begin to vanish; fear of prophecy causes paranoia and civil unrest.
Strange story line leads to an overpowering finale. Not the best acting in the world; but for sure, the Elder Beacon character seems to get farther and farther away from God.
