Chappy Watched: The Mysteries Of Laura - Season 1 & 2
26 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I knew of the show and knew that it starred Debra Messing but didn't really have any interest in watching it.

The season had ended in America and an ad was played on Australian TV to promote the series coming soon, it looked decent so I though I'd give it a go.

I am glad I did. This is such an amazing show.

Normally I get bored of police shows, they tend to be the same thing every episode, and while this is exactly that, the comedy and the family drama give it a different spin every episode.

While Debra Messing may be the major star and the headliner, this is very much an ensemble cast. I love the whole cast; they all work together brilliantly but also individually and in pairs.

It's amazingly written, exceptionally acted, quirky, funny, refreshing, different and yet down to earth and normal.

Not having any interest in the beginning and therefore not reading anything on the show, I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see Eric McCormack in an episode. Hopefully Megan Mullally is next!

I will 100% be watching Season Two weekly when it returns!

*******SEASON TWO******** I loved Season One but got a little nervous about this season; can the magic last for another year?

It does!

It's obviously still a cop show, a good and smart one, but it's also funny as well as a lot of family drama which makes the show different and entertaining.

Debra Messing and the rest of the cast are still awesome to watch, individually and in groups. While this is Messing's show, no one is overshadowed and everyone get his or her time to shine with and without Debra Messing.

We do lose Meg Steedle, who played Frankie Pulaski, over the season break with only a couple of seconds of explanation and it's just the usual transferred out excuse.

As I said in my Season One review, which still applies to Season Two "It's amazingly written, exceptionally acted, quirky, funny, refreshing, different and yet down to earth and normal."

Will most definitely be watching Season Three.
