Warning: Spoilers
With Christmas coming up I started looking round for Musicals that I could watch with my dad over X-Mas.Talking to a DVD seller,I was pleased to find out that he had recently tracked down a near- forgotten Musical, which led to me getting ready to see the band dance.

The plot:

Learning that there is a contest taking place with the top prize being a music contract for a year, band leader Buddy Milton decides to get his band in the contest.Despite not being on the list,Milton uses his charms and gains a spot.Unhappy with Milton cheating to get the spot, Pat Shelley (who is the only women band leader taking part in the contest) tries to get Milton banned,as Milton starts to write a love ballad for Shelley.

View on the film:

Despite looking like it has been edited with an axe by the ratings board, director Marcel Varnel is still able to compose some charming moments, which go from dance moves which appear rather neck breaking,to Milton demanding his band to play in the background of a punch-up! Performing the main song with a sweet elegance, the pretty June Clyde gives a very good performance as Shelley, thanks to Clyde crossing sass with a firmness over not allowing any guy to step on her toes. Sneaking his way in, Charles 'Buddy' Rogers gives a slick performance as Milton, with Rogers giving Milton cad charms which gradually change into a determination to make sure that the band plays on.
