Warning: Spoilers
This movie depicts the war from the perspective of a common soldier, who like all of us is more concerned with family, jobs, home than overarching politics which forces them to fight and kill persons who very recently were their own kin.

It is with sadness that I realize that as time passes the fact that India and Pakistan are political boundaries, a synthetic line drawn among people with shared history and culture is getting lost. We grow up with nationalistic fervor and the thoughts of rivalry and forget the shared commonalities among the people.

The number of people who grew up across the border with deep friendships and relationships with people on the other side will be replaced by generations who have only known conflict and rivalry within the two countries.

What an utter waste of human energies (the conflict ... not this film, the film is brilliant)
