I really don't get why the ratings are so bad for this... I loved this show. I was already a fan of quite a few of the actors in the show (mostly from other Canadian movies seen at film festivals or random Canadian-based movies I've picked up over the years), so that added to my liking of it.
It definitely is a dark humour type show, so it takes a certain kind of person to enjoy that. It's not everyones cup of tea, but for those that do enjoy that type of humour, this should be a hidden gem.
My only issue is that it is only available through SuperChannel. Would love to get the full season on DVD or BluRay or something at some point. I'd also love to see a second season. I feel like that would add to the quality (maybe a higher budget or something) and bring everything together better.

I wouldn't suspect any of the rental stores that are still open in my area (seriously... there are...) to have a people cutting off fingers and talking about selling bad drugs in the back room. Definitely a wicked concept.
