Just another environmental propaganda film aimed at kids
17 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Blinky Bill is not only sinking really low by aiming its ecophile propaganda at little kids, but it came out the same year as another nearly-as-awful animated film (Ferngully: the Last Rainforest) and is basically a rip-off of it.

Australia seemed to have some serious issue with logging companies back in 1992. Turning the continent's rage into a cheesy animated movie doesn't cover up the anti-industry motives, and let's be honest, you can make industry and pollution look as bad as you want, but will little kids really care about the environmental message? Maybe the off one or two nerdy ones. I sure wasn't trying to save rainforests and burn down corporations when I was four years old! But the animation, albeit not the worst, was still not very good. The plot was really pathetic and it looked like whoever wrote it didn't even put in the effort to be original! The soundtrack... ugh.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, believe me, your kids deserve better than this horrible thing. Only watch it if you want some nostalgic moments from when you were forced to watch it growing up, otherwise avoid it at all costs.
