"Professor" is one of the most entertaining and hilarious movies I've watched from 60s. Just felt what a great actor Shammi Kapoor had been in his days. In this funny, slapstick comedy, Shammi Kapoor disguises himself as an old professor to get a job as a tutor in a strict aunt's bungalow and teaches young ladies ending up with funny and difficult situations. Right from the beginning to the end and scene after scene, the film gets funnier; just forgive some of its stupidities and improbabilities. Shammi Kapoor steals the show all the way; and his chemistry with Lalita Pawar as a dictator aunt who ends up falling in love with the disguised professor sets up the landmark of Indian comedy. This is the most energetic and enjoyable Shammi Kapoor classic I've seen. Photography is the next commendable aspect of this film which is so colorful and every frame feels like a portrait; and of course, some of the memorable songs like "Khuli Palak Mein", "Main Chali Main chali" and "Ye Gulbadan" make it a classic to treasure. The film was later imitated badly in "Dil Tera Aashiq." Anyway, go for the genuine one.
