Too Good to Be Real!
11 September 2013
The Robertson family has made millions of dollars on duck callers with a company entitled Duck Commander. Somehow the Robertson family is entertaining and real. You can't make this stuff up about the Robertson brothers living in Louisiana. What I don't like and I can't get past is the men's hair of long beards and mustaches which comes across as sloppy and unkempt. While I enjoy the men staying real and authentic, I don't see the show as scripted like other reality shows. The Robertson family is Americana and has attracted viewers of all kinds. Perhaps the high ratings can state that audiences want something unique. The male audience probably enjoys the dynamic relationships among the brothers and family members They are still a loving family after all. I can't see the Robertsons selling out or need too. When I was just at Walmart, I realized that I needed to watch the show in order to understand. The episodes are short and sweet and to the point. The Robertsons have showed another world of reality to audiences. Since I don't enjoy duck hunting or anything like that, I don't think this show is for me. I did enjoy Miss Kay though and thought she was such a hoot but not enough.
