After finding it relatively easy to track down the films Auditions and Flannel Pyjama's,I suddenly found myself hitting a brick wall in my attempt to find a bio-pic movie based on "the queen of Italian Hardcore" Monana Pozzi.

Continuing my search,I found that the only version of the film around was one that had neither an English dub or subs.Prepairing to sadly having to accept defeat in tracking down the title,I decided to give one last throw of the dice, which amazingly, led to me finally tracking down an Eng Sub version of the movie, that would at last give me a chance to take a peak at Pozzi's "Hardcore" world.

The plot:

Since deciding to enter the "Hardcore" Adult Entertainment movie industry 3 years ago, so as to earn a good amount of cash, Nina has found her star status slowly rising, which has led to her becoming one of the Adult film industry's most famous stars.

During the filming for her latest movie,Nina is offered one of the best contracts going in the industry by a studio head, who wants her to exclusively feature on his new website, due to him seeing the internet as the future of the industry.Flattered by his offer,Nina tells him that she has to politely turn down the offer, due to everyone "deserveing" a piece of Nina.

As she attempts to feel happy over turning down the contract, and also trying to balance her family life,Nina gets told by her doctor that she has cancer, and that she must have chemotherapy.

View on the film:

Using the life of Monana Pozzi as the spine for the thinly disgusted alter ego of Pozzi:Nina, the screenplay by writer/director Davide Ferrario shockingly takes a restrained approach to the source material.

Along with creating a brand new boyfriend for Pozzi/Nina,Ferrario also leaves out all of the most exciting and important events that happened in Ponzzi's life, from her lying to her son that he was actually her brother (!),to forming a political party with fellow adult movie star Ilona Staller called Partito dell'Amore (The Love Party), whose ambitions were/are to legalise brothels, improve Sex Education and also build "Love Parks"!,that led to Pozzi and Staller both becoming MP's.

Impressively being able to rise above the disappointingly screenplay, the gorgeous Elisabetta Cavallotti gives a tremendous, sizzling performance as Pozzi/Nina,with Cavallotti smartly showing Pozzi/Nina to be someone who loves the feeling of power and control that she has in her movies, (shown in very tastefully done scenes by director Ferrario, who turns the film up to an inferno temperature,as he focuses on Cavallotti's beautiful flesh) whilst also brilliantly showing Pozzi/Nina's more tender side,by giving the scenes that she shares with Pozzi/Nina's boyfriend a wonderfully warming, and unexpected indie/Mumblecore heart.
