Review of Dead Bodies

Dead Bodies (2003)
4/10
there's a big hole in this narrative

Warning: Spoilers
I was impressed by the acting, but this is not the film for you if you like everything explained. The plot twists and turns and has a few surprises. Generally it was quite satisfying. However one thing stands out like an elephant in the room - how does the protagonist manage to use the same unmarked grave that the councillor did 8 years previously? This is so utterly unlikely (impossible really) that it could only be explained by some kind of multiple personality thing (ie: the protagonist committed the previous murder but forgot about it). The narrative however takes a different direction and finally ends without even attempting to explain why this happened. It feels so out of place with the rest of the scriptwriting that it feels like something has been edited out of the movie. Maybe the scenes that explained this were accidentally damaged or something. Or maybe there was another ten of fifteen minutes worth of the movie that were removed in order to make it a neat 80 minutes long. A bizarre and inexplicable flaw.
